The Skinnytaste French Onion Soup ~ http://www.skinnytaste.com/2009/11/french-onion-soup.html ~ was amazing!! I did not deviate from the recipe ingredients at all ~ using the wine, cooking sherry and brandy that the recipe called for. I did have to improvise at the end as I didn’t have the oven proof bowls called for, so I placed the swiss cheese on a slice of sourdough bread, then broiled it in the toaster oven. I placed that on top of the bowl of hot soup for about a minute and it was perfection! This recipe was restaurant quality in my eyes and definitely a keeper!
